Environment variables and files
Configure the CLI with environment variables, and the files it reads and writes.
Environment variables
| Variable | Meaning |
|---|---|
LIGHTHOUSE_API_KEY | Your API key. Works without login. logout doesn't remove it. |
LIGHTHOUSE_API_BASE_URL | A different Lighthouse API address. Must use https://, except for localhost. |
LIGHTHOUSE_PROJECT | Use this project instead of the link file or the Git remote. |
LIGHTHOUSE_SCAN_TIMEOUT | How long a scan waits, in seconds. Default 1,100. |

.lighthouse/project.toml | The repository link, written by init. Ignored by Git. |
.git/lighthouse/findings/<scan-id>.md | Pre-commit scan reports. Inside .git, so never committed. |
