Set up your machine
Check your setup
Use reware-lighthouse status to see whether everything on this machine works.
reware-lighthouse status checks your whole setup at once. Run it inside a repository whenever something seems wrong.
reware-lighthouse statusIt reports on three areas:
| Area | Checks |
|---|---|
| Account | Which Lighthouse server you use, and whether your key works. |
| Project | The Git remote, the current branch, how the checkout is linked, and whether Lighthouse knows the repository. |
| Tooling | Whether the hook, the Claude Code and Codex setup, and the skills are installed, missing, or edited since init. |
A failing line says what to do. When anything fails, the command exits with a non-zero status, so you can use it in scripts.
Common fixes
| Status says | Fix |
|---|---|
| Not signed in | Run reware-lighthouse login. |
| Project not found | Run reware-lighthouse init, or ask an admin to add the repository. |
| Hook not installed | Run reware-lighthouse init again, or add reware-lighthouse scan to your shared hook. |
| Skill edited since init | Fine if you changed it on purpose. For a fresh copy, delete the skill folder and run init again. |
