Save your API key on this machine with reware-lighthouse login.
reware-lighthouse login saves your API key so the CLI, the hook, and your coding agent can use it. Sign in once per machine. Every repository on the machine uses the same key.
Before you start
You need an API key. In the dashboard, go to Team › API keys and press Reveal once. If there's nothing to reveal, ask an admin to issue you a key.
reware-lighthouse loginPaste your key when asked. Lighthouse checks it before saving, so a mistyped key fails now instead of on your next commit.
Where the key is saved
~/.config/lighthouse/config.env, readable only by you (mode 0600). It's never inside a repository, so it can't be committed by mistake.
Sign in without prompts
For scripts and CI, pass the key on the command line:
reware-lighthouse login --api-key "$LIGHTHOUSE_API_KEY" --yesOr skip login and set LIGHTHOUSE_API_KEY in the environment. Every command reads it. See Environment variables.
Troubleshooting
| You see | Do this |
|---|---|
| The key is rejected | Check that you copied the whole key. If it was rotated, revoked, or expired, ask an admin to rotate it and reveal the new one. |
| A warning that the config file isn't private | Run chmod 600 ~/.config/lighthouse/config.env. |
| You lost the key | It can't be shown again. Ask an admin to rotate it. |
