Invite members and manage roles
Add people to your team, set their role, and change it later.
You add people to your team with a join link. You create the link in Lighthouse and send it to them yourself.
Roles
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Everything: connect GitHub, add and delete repositories, invite and manage members, issue API keys, and change team settings. |
| Developer | Work with the repositories they can access: run ingestions, enhance prompts, run and read scans, and review findings. |
A developer can also manage specific repositories as a maintainer.
Invite someone
Go to Team › Members and press Invite member.
Enter their Email and pick a Role. For a developer, also choose All repositories or the specific repositories they can see.
Create the invitation, press Copy link, and send the link to them.
The link works once and expires after 48 hours. When they open it, they choose a name and password and join your team.
Lighthouse doesn't email invitations yet
Send the link yourself, over email or chat.
To cancel an invitation that hasn't been used, revoke it under Team › Invitations.
Change a member
Open a member's actions under Team › Members:
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Change role | Switch between Admin and Developer. The last admin can't be demoted. |
| Edit repository access | Choose which repositories a developer can see. |
| Deactivate | Signs them out immediately and revokes all their API keys. Their past activity stays visible. |
| Reactivate | Lets them sign in again. Their old API keys stay revoked, so issue new ones. |
Team size during the pilot
A team can have up to 5 members during the pilot. Pending invitations count until they're used or expire. When the team is full, you see Your team has reached its 5-member limit during the pilot. Revoke an unused invitation or deactivate someone to make room, or contact RewareLabs.
Troubleshooting
| They see | Do this |
|---|---|
| The join link is invalid, used, or expired | Create a new invitation and send the new link. |
| Lighthouse is invite-only during our pilot. | They opened the sign-up page instead of the join link. Send them the join link again. |
| They joined but can't see a repository | Check their repository access. |
