Ingestion
Cancel, resume, and re-run
Stop an ingestion, continue a failed one, or redo a single part.
You rarely need to start an ingestion from scratch. You can stop a run, continue one that failed, or redo one part.
Cancel
On a running ingestion's page, press Cancel ingestion. Queued work is dropped, and running work is marked cancelled. The branch keeps using the cards from its last completed ingestion.
Resume a failed or cancelled run
On the ingestion's page, press Re-run ingestion. Lighthouse continues from where the run stopped and keeps the work already done, so it costs less than a new run.
Re-run one section or one file
On a completed ingestion:
| To redo | Do this | What's reused |
|---|---|---|
| One summary section | Re-run it from its tab under Repository summaries. | The file analysis underneath. |
| One file | Re-run it from the file list. | Everything except that file. |
When an ingestion fails
The page shows Ingestion failed and a run reference.
| Cause | Do this |
|---|---|
| Lighthouse couldn't clone or check out the repository | Make sure the GitHub App still has access to it, then press Re-run ingestion. |
| Interrupted by a backend restart. | Press Re-run ingestion. Nothing is wrong with your repository. |
| Credits not enough for ingestion. | Your team is low on credits. See When you run out of credits. |
If it fails again, contact support and include the run reference.
